Insights into Simplifying Life

By Hans S Delane

In between having a career one must also stop to introspect that what kind of life we are actually leading. One feels overjoyed while rushing between meetings the whole day, but it can be tiring also. What type of life do we want then?

Try and figure out what you like the most. Family members and friends can provide support during troubling times but once in a while, take out time to undertake adventure, fun, and care-freeness, which will make you realize that there is much work than work in life. Appreciate and understand what is happening around you by taking out more time.

Simplify your life and do not only reinvent your life. Think of what is of greatest importance to you, architect your life around those core values, and remove all the clutter that doesn't serve any purpose. At the outset, think of what really important and before you start getting to simplify things, decide on what qualifies as a high quality life.

We have a consumerist attitude of living life, which tends to contradict the whole idea of simplifying life. As we keep living, we tend to accumulate more and more over a period of time and the world thinks that we are extremely interested in possessing objects and material wealth. It could be more than the physical items as well. One could be collecting activities also. This behavior makes us like a rat, which is always racing from one experience to another. Even though, this gives us importance and desire to be possessed, we are not always happy and satisfied.

From the plethora of stuff has emerged a movement of simplicity. We look like a hamster on a wheel when we keep working constantly. Majority of our income goes in meeting our expenses and we only save a little. The thought that life is short should be on the back of our mind.

We all need to architect an end goal, which will make us attain happiness. This principle can be applied in the day to day schedule. Take out time in your daily routine for new opportunities. One can attain effective time management, which is all about doing lesser things of great importance. Aptly, living a simple life is a philosophy.

Living life simply means unburdening our lives and making it more light and clean. The goal should be to create more rounded, simple and lateral relationships with all the key aspects of our life: which includes the activities we accomplish, bonding with people in our contact and our connections with the world at large. This is in a profound sense a life which is straight on the outside and rich inside.

Simple living can translate into simple things like managing your garden, walking in the park or reading good stuff. The goal is to reduce the material possessions in order to ensure that you are not in haste. One good way of getting rid of commotion is by focusing more on the world around you. The society believes that life is all about amassing wealth and authority. For people who lead a simple life, know that everyone needs time to ponder, introspect and play. Contentment and happiness is beyond wealth and power. - 31877
